Le livre “Se rendre” est le fruit d’une invitation faite à Jocelyn Cottencin de “baliser” un cheminement pour rejoindre progressivement, lentement, le Domaine de Tizé - situé à Thorigné-Fouillard au cœur de la métropole rennaise - site d’implantation de l’association Au bout du plongeoir.
Jocelyn Cottencin a choisi non pas un mais plusieurs chemins, comme autant de possibilités d’ “aller vers…” et d’en rendre compte sous la forme d’un livre. Chacun d’eux a été “affecté” à un(e) artiste. Il en découle une expérience, une proposition, une histoire singulières pour chaque promenade réalisée. Un livre. L’édition est par essence un objet nomade, un objet de déplacement autant physique qu’intellectuel. C’est aussi un objet plastique et visuel.

The book ‘Se rendre’ (Getting there) is the result of an invitation to Jocelyn Cottencin to ‘mark out’ a path to gradually, slowly, get to the Domaine de Tizé - located in Thorigné-Fouillard in the heart of the Rennes metropolis - site of the Au bout du plongeoir association.
Jocelyn Cottencin has chosen not one but several paths, like so many possibilities of ‘going towards...’ and reporting on them in the form of a book. Each of them has been ‘assigned’ to an artist. The result is a unique experience, a unique proposition, a unique story for each walk. A book. Publishing is, by its very nature, a nomadic object, an object that can be moved around both physically and intellectually. It is also a visual object.
